Joe was born Nov 20, 1936 and married Mary Leilani on April 20, 2002. Joe enlisted in the Navy Reserve on Nov 11, 1953 while a senior in high school. He retired Nov 1979 as a Senior Chief Electronics Technician serving on the Southerland from 1974 to 1978. He also served aboard the USS Wiess, attended ET "A" School, TI: MOTU-5: Instructor School; PACRESFLT/SAM&R; ABC Warfare School; NAVCOMSTA; PACTRAGRP; NAVY MARS.

They now reside in Rancho San Diego, Joe and Mary enjoy square dancing and visiting new places through the West.
